Tuesday – Wednesday – Thursday -- More Beautiful Days

I don’t think we could have asked for more beautiful weather! Indian Summer came to Maine when Phil arrived and we enjoyed the warm sunshine and crisp cool air every day we were there. We drove south about ten miles to Kennebunkport Tuesday and walked through a few of the shops. We had lunch at Allison’s – very good….then went home to spend more time on the beach. Don’t worry, by Tuesday I had Phil looking for sea glass….he found some nice pieces, too!

On Wednesday morning we headed north up to Portland Head Light – probably the most famous lighthouse on the east coast. From there we drove into Portland and spent some time walking through their waterfront shopping district. We had lobster stew at an outdoor seafood restaurant right on the wharf.

All of a sudden it was Thursday…..our last full day in Maine! I don’t know how the time got by us so quickly! We spent that last day taking a long walk all the way up Fortune’s Rock Beach and back. We drove into Kennebunkport for dinner….then headed back to the house to begin packing for our journey home.
